Nunez has had some brilliant moments under Arne Slot. He's also had some dire ones where he barely looks capable of playing under the Dutchman.

The missed chances are beginning to grate on fans, certainly, and it has put Nunez's future in question. Should Liverpool sell in the summer? Should Liverpool sell now?

Because the latter is becoming an option. As Anfield Watch exclusively revealed, Liverpool have received interest from Saudi Arabia for Nunez.

But it won't just be Liverpool receiving a lot of money in this one. Nunez stands to earn a fortune.

Anfield Watch understands that Al-Hilal are ready to pay Nunez around £400k per week if he moves there. This, unsurprisingly, is the principal reason why the striker hasn't turned down the offer.

While we're sure Nunez would prefer to carry on in European football, this would represent a gigantic leap in his wages. For comparison, no one has ever earned that much money playing for Liverpool.

Mo Salah is the closest, with his £350k-a-week deal currently close to that mark. But there's no question that Nunez could not earn that kind of money anywhere else.

And so this deal is tempting him. He's reportedly on around £140k per week right now, so he's looking to more than double his current earnings.

This one has a little ways to run, of course, and no deal has been agreed, with Liverpool or Nunez. But the door is open this month - and it's one the player could take.
