But further down the line it is expected that sporting director Richard Hughes makes his move to improve the options at Arne Slot’s disposal.

Martin Zubimendi has been regularly linked while recent stories have suggested Morgan Gibbs-White is on the Liverpool radar.

Anfield Watch brought you the news that the Reds were blown away by Nico Gonzalez of FC Porto and we also confirmed interest in Torino’s Samuele Ricci.

And now another intriguing name has emerged on the list in the shape of a Bundesliga playmaker.

Liverpool monitoring Millot

Stuttgart star Enzo Millot has impressed this season, bagging eight goals and five assists in 24 appearances. Having been with the club since 2021, he has now reportedly attracted strong interest from numerous Premier League clubs.

Millot signed a new contract at the start of 2024, now tied to the Bundesliga runners-up until 2028.

An incredibly versatile player, he can operate as an attacking midfielder, a central midfielder or a winger. The Frenchman is known for his offensive ability, playmaking, passing and strong bursts of pace.

"The boy is blessed with exceptional qualities, really unbelievable. He often flies a little under the radar, but against Dortmund he deserved to be on the big stage. That was outstanding, a different level. He set a standard that he is welcome to repeat," coach Sebastian Hoeness said after a five-star display against Dortmund in September.

CaughtOffside have reported that Arsenal and Tottenham are monitoring his situation. However, “the North London clubs could face competition for Millot as it is believed that Chelsea, Manchester City and Liverpool are also keeping an eye on his development in Germany.”

Millot, 22, has yet to make the senior breakthrough to the France national team but was among the best performers for Thierry Henry's Olympic side last summer.

He was a goalscorer in the Gold Medal Match versus Spain at the Parc des Princes, ultimately won 5-3 by Spain, with Millot and his teammates picking up a silver medal on home soil.
