Liverpool need to move NOW to secure England wonderkid
Liverpool are going to have to move fast if they plan on landing one of the British game’s hottest young talents.
Although the Reds have added several top-quality youngsters to the youth ranks in recent seasons - like Trey Nyoni and Rio Ngumoha - the latest name in the frame will be a FAR bigger acquisition.
Liverpool Transfer News: Harry Kane wants to join as Reds in race to complete transfer Slot is DESPERATE for
While Nyoni and Ngumoha moved as underage players, therefore costing the club a fraction of their true worth, one exciting talent linked with the Reds is already a flourishing Premier League star in his own right.
And, as such, it would take a mammoth fee to tempt his club into selling.
Tottenham move for Dibling
The player in question? Southampton’s Tyler Dibling.
First linked with Liverpool back in January, it was suggested that the Reds would jump to the front of the queue for the 19-year-old should they opt to make a move for him.
It’s since been suggested that the right winger / attacking midfielder has had his head turned by transfer interest from Anfield and elsewhere.
Liverpool are not the only club associated with a move for the England under-21 international with Tottenham now tipped to make a move.
Stop EVERYTHING: Harry Kane wants to join Liverpool
That’s according to the latest report in GIVEMESPORT, which suggests Spurs are doing their background checks on Dibling ahead of a summer bid.
“Tottenham are doing groundwork on a deal to bring Dibling to north London in the summer transfer window,” a report reads.
Dibling is likely to end up relegated as his Southampton side struggle at the foot of the top flight. He’s had a difficult 2025 thus far, having suffered an ankle injury in January and seeing his minutes cut by head coach Ivan Juric.
Southampton want £55m for Dibling
That said, Dibling remains a player of immense potential, with 25 Premier League games under his belt already.
He has scored twice in the league this season, alerting the big boys to his worth. The price is likely to be high for Dibling with the player under contract until 2027.
“Reports in the January transfer window suggested that Southampton wouldn't entertain offers less than £55m, but it will be interesting to see whether their stance changes in the summer,” says GIVEMESPORT.
The Saints’ imminent relegation might slice a few million off the price tag but it’s important for Liverpool to make their move NOW if they do intend to sign Dibling.
As Spurs have shown with top British and Irish talents such as Brennan Johnson, Archie Gray and Mason Melia, they will sanction deals for the right youngster.
