EXCLUSIVE: Desire Doue is out-of-this-world with eager Liverpool watching
Anfield Watch understands Liverpool remain interested in Desire Doue. And with good reason after what he's just done.
Anfield Watch exclusively revealed back in November that Liverpool had their eyes on Paris Saint-Germain teenager Desire Doue.

Doue only moved to PSG in the summer from Rennes. He cost them an incredible €50m despite still being a teenager.
The Reds had watched the player for some time but his lack of appearances up to November had them watching closely. Doue wasn't happy with his match-time, given he played regularly for Rennes.
The last thing a teenager needs, after all, is a sudden depletion in his minutes. That's not how you develop properly.

But while Liverpool's interest remains, Doure is now playing far more. PSG have gradually integrated him into their first-team setup, letting the youngster play a variety of positions.
In fact, Doue will almost certainly feature against Liverpool this week in the UEFA Champions League.
They'll be up against an incredible player, too. Doue put in a remarkable performance against Lille this week, showcasing exactly why Liverpool are interesed.
Desire Doue vs Lille
Doue played as a no.8 in midfield for PSG against Lille and he was incredibly effective there. Then again, everyone was for the Parisians.
They raced into a 4-0 lead in just 37 minutes. Doue got the assist for the second goal and scored the fourth - and what a goal it was.

PSG burst forward but couldn't quite find a clear chance on goal despite several attempts in the move. Doue then stepped up with the ball at the edge of the box and fired a beauty into the far corner.
It was an emphatic finish that essentially wrapped the game up for PSG. Lille would get one back in the second half but things were comfortable enough that the hosts were able to substitute key players - including Doue - around the hour mark.
But it would be doing the 19-year-old a disservice to say his performance was 'just' a goal. Doue was all-action in midfield, completing 39 of 44 passes, creating three chances and winning four of four tackles.
It doesn't really get much better than that from a teenager against another top side. Once again, this just summed up why Liverpool hold an interest in Doue.

It's increasingly obvious, though, that he'll be difficult to sign. It may even be impossible to get him at this point, such has been his rise over the last two months.
When we wrote that initial exclusive, Doue had just one assist to his name. Since then? He's scored seven and assisted another six.
So the ship may have sailed here. Should Doue fancy a change of scenery, though - Liverpool will be eager to give him one.
