Decision time Liverpool: Star defender faces interest from SIX clubs
Liverpool rarely sell members of the first-team but it seems as though some outgoing business is inevitable if the club is to fund the extravagant rebuild that has been widely reported.
As you would expect the budget for the Reds' summer transfer window is expected to be proportionally large, although some of the sums of money might be contingent on selling some players.
EXCLUSIVE: Paris Saint-Germain commit to massive Ibrahima Konate move
The attacking line is expected to need attention, and Anfield Watch understands that each of Diogo Jota, Darwin Nunez and Luis Diaz will have their futures assessed after underwhelming campaigns.
However, it is actually the defence that might see the most money being spent. A left-back is essential, a centre-back has been on the shopping list for some time and Trent Alexander-Arnold is set to depart at right-back.
One of the fringe players who might be let go is Jarell Quansah and according to the lates reports, he is not short of clubs lining up to declare their interest in him.
Liverpool have a decision to make with Quansah
Arne Slot has made is crystal clear which centre-backs he trusts and which he doesn't.
Sadly for Quansah, he falls into the latter half. Ibrahima Konate replaced him at half time during the opening game of the season and his fortunes have been symbolic of that moment ever since.
The Englishman gets irregular minutes whenever Konate is in need of a rest, or when there are no right-backs physically available to be fielded. Despite being just 22 years old, his future at Liverpool is looking increasingly uncertain, after just two seasons in the senior setup.
His confidence is shot, and while the fans know deep down that the club has an incredibly talented player on their hands, he may not be afforded the time to prove himself as a legitimate asset under Slot.
According to CaughtOffside, there are six clubs reportedly interested in a move for Quansah.
Those include Newcastle, Brentford, Bournemouth and Everton in the Premier League, alongside Borussia Dortmund and Bayer Leverkusen in the German Bundesliga.
Offers of around €30m are reportedly being considered and given the youngster is homegrown, any fee that the club could bring in would be pure profit.
A new player would need to be brought in to replace him, which adds further pressure to the recruitment team, who already have a significant workload to get through this summer.

However, the money would help to increase the overall budget for the club's rebuild, so it is clear that a decision will eventually need to be made for both the future of the squad and the player.
