Dean Huijsen update brings Liverpool BRILLIANT news
Liverpool are in the race for Dean Huijsen and the latest update is brilliant news for the Reds. The Bournemouth defender is expected to move this summer.
Liverpool are in hot pursuit of Dean Huijsen, who is widely expected to leave Bournemouth this summer. The race is starting to seriously heat up, too, with a transfer possible within the next two months.

The Reds are far from the only team in that race. Chelsea, Arsenal, and Newcastle United are all strongly linked with Huijsen, while Real Madrid are supposedly keeping an eye on things.
Liverpool, though, are pushing hard. There are serious doubts over the futures of Ibrahima Konate, Joe Gomez and Jarell Quansah, with the first of those creating real problems.
Konate is, after all, a starting centre-back for Liverpool and he's consistently been one of the best in the Premier League this season. The Frenchman enters the final year of his contract this summer, however, and Anfield Watch understands Paris Saint-Germain are eager to sign him.
That would leave a gaping hole at the back and Liverpool would like to fill it with Huijsen, one of the standout defenders in the Premier League and still only 20. His £50m release clause makes it potentially a bargain deal, too.
And the latest update on the race suggests Liverpool are in a very, very strong position.

Dean Huijsen latest
The Boot Room claims sources at Bournemouth have told them that Liverpool are considered favourites to land Huijsen. Now, that's certainly not suggesting that this is done and dusted - but things are looking positive for the Reds.
This is hot on the heels of a different claim from the Independent, who say a seven-year contract offer from Chelsea may win the race. That would tell us that different people have different perspectives on this one.
But we'll take it as a positive that Bournemouth sources see this going Liverpool's way. It's a transfer the Reds are desperate to make happen, with their scouts having kept tabs on Huijsen for some time now.
Liverpool were consistently linked with Huijsen before his move to Bournemouth, for one thing. He's a player they've rated highly and now he comes with the added advantage of Premier League experience - and confirmation that he can hack it in English football.

We've got our fingers crossed, then. Huijsen would be an outstanding signing for Liverpool and one who could be at the centre of their defence for a long time to come.
