Darwin Nunez joke looks CRAZY after Fabrizio Romano update
Darwin Nunez cracked a joke this week that suddenly looks crazy after an update from Fabrizio Romano.
Anfield Watch exclusively revealed last month that Saudi Arabian sides were looking at Darwin Nunez. There was a verbal bid made by Al-Hilal, from our understanding, of around £75m.

Liverpool rejected that as they were chasing £85m to sell mid-season. Diogo Jota's injury record put further pressure on the Reds to keep Nunez as they're currently mounting a charge towards both the Premier League and UEFA Champions League.

Fabrizio Romano has now said something very similar. He claims it was Al-Nassr who came close to signing Nunez, offering that £75m amount.
Now, maybe both teams put offers in, maybe the identity of the team is off - either way, there's significant interest in Nunez from Saudi Arabia. Interest that Liverpool hope to take advantage of in the summer.
And that makes a recent joke from Nunez seem actually kind of crazy.
Darwin Nunez jokes about Saudi Arabia
Nunez and Luis Diaz did a video for Pro:Direct Soccer on YouTube where the topic of cars came up. Diaz was impressed by Nunez's haul but the Uruguayan made it clear he aspired for more.
"I need more money," he said, before winking into the camera.
The interviewer says he'll push for Nunez to get a pay rise and bonuses for good performances but the striker has other ideas.
"Saudi," he whispered to the interviewer. "Come on Saudi."

That then gets whispered to Diaz who breaks out laughing and nodding. He plainly sees things the same way.
It's a joke, obviously - but also sort of isn't. Nunez had an offer from Saudi Arabia at the time of recording that video and it was for an enormous amount of money.
We understand Nunez was completely on board with accepting that offer, too. Only Liverpool didn't like their end of it.
That's something Anfield Watch initially reported and the Telegraph since verified. They claim Nunez had £29m per year on the table from the Saudi Pro League.
So while it is a joke, we do believe Nunez legitimately is possibly moving to Saudi Arabia. We'll just have to see what the summer holds.
