Darwin Nunez has four months to SAVE his Liverpool career
Darwin Nunez is up against the clock if he's to save his Liverpool career.
Darwin Nunez was a strange signing for Liverpool back in 2022 in that he was a Jurgen Klopp signing. Usually, the Reds like to run transfers through a committee and sign the 'right' player.

Per The Times, they felt that star should have been Christopher Nkunku back in 2022. Klopp, though, wanted to sign Nunez from Benfica after his displays against Liverpool the previous season.
The German got his way and his man. Nunez has been one of the more electric players at Liverpool ever since, though that's not to say he's always been flawless.
Or ever been flawless, really.
Nunez is as unreliable as it gets for a player who's so rarely injured. Sometimes he produces absolute magic with the ball, sometimes he's a threat like no other in the Premier League, with unmatched physicality.
And then on other occasions, he produces football so maddening that you want him sold on the spot.
Liverpool have battled with Nunez since signing him but there's a sense that the 'what if his finishing really clicks' mentality is coming to an end. It really doesn't look like it's clicking.
Now the clock's ticking, too, as Liverpool appear ready to move on.

Darwin Nunez is up against the clock
Liverpool were prepared to sell Darwin Nunez this month. Anfield Watch exclusively revealed that Al-Hilal had put £70m on the table but the club rejected it.
Essentially, Michael Edwards wanted more money in order to sell a valuable asset. £85m was the mark but that wasn't the only reason.
Diogo Jota's inability to remain fit meant Liverpool were reluctant to sell their only fit recognised centre-forward. Basically, there was a real chance here that they'd have sold Nunez.
A slightly higher offer would have done it. Jota being more available would have done it.
In the summer, Liverpool would accept less and would find it easier to deal with a sale. It's a different situation and so it feels as though the club will try to sign a forward.
They're certainly linked with a few. Alexander Isak is the most exciting of those and he'll be the level of forward the Reds want.
Unless Nunez can convince them he's the main man. It'll be difficult, given Slot appears to even prefer Luis Diaz at centre-forward.
And if the Uruguayan fails to nail the place down, it seems inevitable Liverpool will look to sell in the summer. The interest is there - and the Reds are currently set to take advantage.
Let's see what Darwin does.
