Liverpool FAIL to persuade star - he's now highly likely to leave
Liverpool appear set to lose at least one star this summer after failing to persuade him to stay.
Liverpool could well lose a large chunk of their squad this summer. While we're sure they'll do what they can to retain their key players, it seems inevitable that a few names leave.

Mo Salah, Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold are the big three, of course. The trio are out of contract in the summer and we're about to enter March without a proper update.
One way or the other.
Naturally, we hope all three stay but it's looking increasingly unlikely. And those are just the players who are free to leave.

Liverpool are planning an overhaul of their attacking options in the summer, Anfield Watch understands. It will likely see several key players depart as the Reds attempt to build a squad for Arne Slot.
That's one thing he hasn't really had, after all. This is very much Jurgen Klopp's squad, even if Slot is leading it to glory.
But there's one player that Liverpool may have to sell against their own wishes.
Caoimhin Kelleher likely leaving
The Athletic reports that Caoimhin Kelleher is 'highly unlikely' to renew his contract. The current deal runs until 2026, leaving Liverpool in a difficult spot.
The Reds don't want to lose Kelleher. For one, there are doubts over Alisson Becker's future with Saudi Arabian clubs eager to sign him.

Kelleher would be the preferred option to battle Giorgi Mamardashvili for Liverpool's no.1 shirt over the next few years. Instead, the Irishman is pushing for a guaranteed spot elsewhere.
Now, Liverpool could certainly keep Kelleher if they were to make him their first-choice goalkeeper. It appears they won't do that, however - and were open to selling last summer for the right offer.
That offer didn't arrive but we imagine it will in 2025. Liverpool then need to decide whether to sell or let Kelleher leave for nothing in 2026.

On paper, that looks like an easy decision - sell while you can. But we are all now perfectly aware that Liverpool don't necessarily see things that way.
With Kelleher, though, it certainly looks like matter of 'when', not 'if'.
