Liverpool's Calum Scanlon nearing Millwall loan move
Liverpool youngster Calum Scanlon looks set to move on loan to Championship side Millwall.
According to a report from London News Online, the 19-year-old is close to a move to the East London club.
Scanlon was signed from Birmingham City’s academy in 2021 and has represented England U19s on eight occasions. The prospect appeared on the bench multiple times last season and made his only two senior appearances for Liverpool in the Europa League.
The highly rated fullback played regularly for Liverpool U21s in the Premier League 2 last season and Liverpool will be hoping he can gain some valuable first team experience this season.

Liverpool’s loanees
Scanlon will join fellow academy prospects Lewis Koumas and Owen Beck in the Championship and will become Liverpool's ninth player out on loan.
More of Liverpool’s youngsters also look likely to leave on loan with deals for Stefan Bajčetić and Ben Doak in the works.
Being sent out on loan does not signal the end of a players time at Liverpool and it is a proven path to the first team, with current senior squad members Harvey Elliott, Jarell Quansah and Conor Bradley all having been out on loan whilst at Liverpool.
Who is Calum Scanlon?
Scanlon has played 14 times for Liverpool U21s, with most of those appearances coming last season, and is most often deployed at left-back, although he is also capable of playing on the left-wing.
The youngster played a total of 51 minutes in Liverpool’s Europa League campaign last season, spread across two games against Union SG and Toulouse and he was an unused substitute in one more Europa League fixture.
Scanlon only featured in one pre season friendly, a 0-0 draw with Las Palmas at Anfield, and Liverpool’s new head coach Arne Slot will be looking for some impressive performances from the 19-year-old in the championship this year if he is to feature in Liverpool’s first team again.
