BRILLIANT Liverpool transfer on the cards after new bid
Liverpool know a transfer is on the cards after a bid was sent in on Thursday. The Reds could get themselves a new midfielder - if all goes to plan.
Carlos Baleba has been one of the standout midfielders in the Premier League this season. He's been labelled a 'game-changer' for some of his displays and that naturally has the league's biggest teams looking at him.

That, after all, is the nature of being a Brighton star. They're so good at finding hidden gems that once they start shining out in the open, all sorts of cash is thrown by those hoping to pick them up next.
Liverpool have their own ex-Brighton star, of course, in Alexis Mac Allister. Baleba could well be another one.
TalkSport are among those claiming Liverpool really like Baleba. He's a midfielder on their radar and that really shouldn't surprise anyone.
The Cameroonian has only just turned 21 and looks like a massive prospect for the future. The fact he's already performing to a high level in the Premier League is just the cherry on top.
And it now seems that Brighton may be shaping up to cash in on Baleba, like they did Mac Allister and Moises Caicedo before him.
Brighton make bid
L'Equipe clams Brighton have made a verbal bid of €23m for Strasbourg midfielder Habib Diarra. They're pushing to sign the player - but let's be honest, they could run into problems here.
Strasbourg are owned by the same group as Chelsea. Chelsea love signing pretty much anyone associated with Brighton and we'd expect this one to be a complicated one to get done.
But what it does show is that Brighton are looking to boost their numbers in midfield with another highly-rated young midfielder. Diarra, like Baleba, is 21.
Other than that, they're not massively similar. Diarra is more of a ball-carrier than Baleba, who wins far more tackles and interceptions than his midfield counterpart.
This might not be a direct replacement, then, but it is Brighton adding depth to their midfield. It's something that will naturally make it a lot easier for other teams to sign Baleba.
Liverpool can take this as a positive, then. Brighton are spending a sizeable chunk of cash in Baleba's position and paving the way for a transfer this summer.
The Reds may just pounce.
