Bilal El Khannouss earns Liverpool GUARANTEE right in front of Arne Slot
Liverpool are not a club to sit on their laurels when they are on top.
Despite the team's remarkable first half of the season, the squad may be missing a few finishing touches.

The approach falls under Richard Hughes' rhetoric regarding 'opportunistic' transfers - essentially, working with the players you have available while also being willing to strike while the iron's hot if the right move becomes available.
The perfect example came in the form of Federico Chiesa's summer transfer to the club for around £15m. His injury record was poor, but he was a known world-class asset in need of a chance to rejuvenate his career.
Now that the season has started, Liverpool are quietly working behind the scenes to ensure that Arne Slot receives all the assistance he needs to ensure the club is successful this season in their hunt for silverware.
Liverpool target's successful Anfield audition
When Leicester came to visit Anfield on Boxing Day, there was one player in particular who caught the eye of the Liverpool executives.
Attacking midfielder, Bilal El Khannouss is a 20-year-old Belgian who has been playing for the Foxes this season, and the Reds have a keen interest in him.
Anfield Watch exclusively reported earlier in December that the club is monitoring the player's progress.
Throughout the season so far, he has delivered two goals and one assist - one goal coming against Manchester United in the EFL Cup - and when he played against his transfer admirers at Anfield, he completed two out of two tackles, alongside creating one of Leicester's three chances while completing 94% of his passes.
At such a young age, delivering such impressive numbers in the Premier League is a huge positive, and while the Reds already have Dominik Szoboszlai, Curtis Jones and Harvey Elliott as more than capable players for the No10 role, Arne Slot likes his midfield to be fluid, and a new recruit could help set up the team for the future.
Prior to moving to Leicester in the summer, El Khannouss was playing in the Belgian Pro League and although his talent was undeniable, the £21m price tag made the move inherently risky, as the Foxes could not be certain how the youngster would adapt.
However, his start to the season has been quietly impressive and he will only go on to get better as his development continues.
Although Liverpool will still take a cautious approach to the Belgian in the summer, as his skillset may still need some polishing before a move to Merseyside beckons, his performance in front of Slot just a few days ago will hardly have done his chances a disservice.
In the past, players such as Virgil Van Dijk, Alisson and Darwin Nunez have all been able to make an impression on the club prior to their move to the Reds, and despite Leicester's 3-1 defeat, his performance was notable.
For the time being, the club has more timely issues to focus on as the team battles for the Premier League title, but don't be surprised to hear El Khannouss' name on the radar in the months going forward, regardless of how Leicester's season pans out.
