Liverpool's dream double-act demands RECORD FSG spend
Liverpool are facing a gigantic shakeup in attack this summer.
Diogo Jota, Luis Diaz and Darwin Nunez are among the players who could be on their way as revealed by Anfield Watch.

Furthermore there is still the prospect of Mohamed Salah departing at the end of the season on a free transfer. Arne Slot likes to work with six attackers and the impending spate of departures means replacements will need to be sourced from the transfer market.
EXCLUSIVE: Diogo Jota among high-profile exits in era-defining overhaul
Among the strikers linked with a move to Anfield in the event of Jota and Nunez leaving is Benjamin Sesko. The Athletic has reported that Liverpool were among the teams interested in signing the RB Leipzig striker last summer but he ultimately remained in the Bundesliga.
Having signed from Red Bull Salzburg in 2023 for €24 million, the Slovenia forward is currently under contract until 2029. However he is destined to leave sooner rather than later. Sesko has scored nine goals and added three assists this season in the Bundesliga.
Sesko and Simons to Anfield?
Starring alongside him up front for Leipzig this season has been Xavi Simons. Initially on loan with the Red Bulls from Paris Saint-German, Simons’ stint was made permanent in January for €50m.
But since his contract extends only to 2027, it is expected that Simons will be off soon and Liverpool have been named among the interested parties.
Sesko and Simons were in terrific form together over the weekend as Leipzig beat St Pauli in the German top flight. Simons assisted Sesko to open the scoring on Sunday and the big forward returned the favour to help the Dutchman make it 2-0.
That was their seventh joint-goal contribution for Marco Rose’s side, according to Transfermarkt.
And it’s evidence of a fruitful partnership that FSG should now seek to replicate at Anfield. It wouldn’t be a cheap operation with Simons likely to move for around €80m and Sesko now looking like he could command similar.
But given Simons’ versatility in midfield and attack, it would give Arne Slot plenty of creativity in the front line. He could supply the bullets for Sesko, who is emerging as one of the most feared strikers around at 21.
