Bidding war as SECOND club bids for Liverpool star
Liverpool are now dealing with several bids at once now the transfer window is open. The Reds need to make a big decision.
Liverpool have started the winter window under a lot of pressure. In fact, that pressure arrived before it opened as Real Madrid made an offer for Trent Alexander-Arnold.

It was rejected immediately - not even the prospect of losing Alexander-Arnold for free in 2025 was enough to sell him for £10m. And rightly so.
But he's not the only player with interest in him. Crystal Palace bid £15m for Ben Doak on Friday afternoon, hoping to win a race for the Scot after his brilliant form with Middlesbrough.
Liverpool, though, rejected that offer. They want £30m for Doak and are willing to stand strong on that.
Whether Palace are willing to meet that mark isn't clear just yet. But they're also no longer the only club in the bidding war.
Another Ben Doak bid
The Athletic's David Ornstein claims Ipswich Town have now also bid for Doak. They put £16m on the table - which is quite a ridiculous offer, if we're being honest.
It's blatantly just marginally higher than Palace's and we can't imagine there was much debate at Anfield about accepting it. Again, Liverpool are sticking to that £30m valuation.
But this is now a bidding war and one that could see bids rise sharply. The pair of Premier League clubs are unlikely to be the only ones looking on either.
Though, Liverpool are calm. They've apparently assured Middlesbrough that as things stand, they'll be holding onto Doak until the end of the season.
Michael Carrick's team are powerless here, however - if Liverpool accept a bid, they'll lose a vital player.
This is one with a lot of eyes on it, then. Let's see what happens as the winter window rolls on.
