Winger Antoine Semenyo could also be the subject of a summer bid with the Ghana international capable of playing either side of the attack.
And central defender Dean Huijsen is reportedly admired inside Anfield along with plenty of other European suitors.
The 19-year-old would appear to be a natural replacement for Virgil van Dijk, with the Dutchman out of contract in summer 2025 and no breakthrough reached over a new deal.
Liverpool reportedly interested in Huijsen
Huijsen moved to Bournemouth in a low-key €15 million deal from Juventus last summer with the Italian side surely regretting letting the Spaniard go so cheaply.
He has established himself as a force in the Premier League and forced his way into the Spain team ahead of the 2026 World Cup.
With a transfer release clause of €60m written into his Bournemouth contract, it won’t be long until the former Roma player is on his way.
Liverpool will have to hold off competition from Real Madrid to land Huijsen and one more European giant has now been credited with interest.
Bayern Munich are planning upgrades in the central defensive sector with negotiations also ongoing with Dayot Upamecano and Eric Dier over new contracts.
Bayern rival Liverpool for Huijsen
Background work is taking place on a list of potential recruits in Bavaria, according to Bild’s Christian Falk, and Huijsen is now a name that features on the list.
“FC Bayern are currently in negotiations with Dayot Upamecano over a new contract,” a report on Falk’s Fact Files column reveals.
“There are still a few details to be clarified, including whether Upamecano will again have an exit clause (the current sum is €120m).
“Bayern would like to keep Upamecano, who is currently injured. However, the club is also looking for alternatives. Eric Dier, for example, is set to receive a new contract until 2026 in the near future.
“But new defenders are also being monitored. Dean Huijsen (19) from Bournemouth is on the list. The central defender has a contract until 2030, but is said to have a release clause of €60m for the summer. Real Madrid are also interested.”

With a release clause in place it could well come down to whoever can offer Huijsen the most money and the better prospects for his career. Let's hope Richard Hughes has got a good sales pitch in order.
