But it's not just the frontline where there will be changes made. Liverpool could also make a few changes in the backline as well, especially as one £30m star is making arrangements to join the club.

What Giorgi Mamardashvili has been doing that suggests he will join Liverpool's first team this summer

The Georgian goalkeeper was signed by Liverpool for £30m including add-ons in last summer's transfer window. However, he is yet to join up with the club.

Mamardashvili decided to spend the current season at Valencia before completing his switch to Anfield. Although his future has been moot beyond the 2024/25 campaign.

With Alisson in between the sticks, and it's not looking like he will leave the club, Mamardashvili could easily be sent out on loan.

That's been the common consensus, anyway. However, it doesn't look like he sees it that way. In fact he's already making arrangements to join the club.

According to The Athletic, Mamardashvili has been taking English lessons and has recently already explored living arrangements in the UK. His plan is therefore to join the club this summer rather than in the future.

Which will leave Liverpool with an interesting conundrum. If Mamardashvili does indeed join the first team this summer and Alisson doesn't leave the club, who will be the first choice goalkeeper?

The obvious answer is Alisson of course. But at the same time Liverpool have invested heavily into Mamardashvili's future and clearly see him as the club's next first choice goalkeeper.

Keeping him on the bench would be detrimental to his progression as a player. So, it may be the case that despite Mamardashvili's desperation, he might be making plans in haste.

Instead, the most probable destination for him feels like another loan somewhere else before he makes the next step to Anfield.
