Arne Slot wants REUNION with €150m Feyenoord favourite at Liverpool
Arne Slot has not yet had the opportunity to add his own players to the Liverpool squad.
Federico Chiesa, signed from Juventus last summer, was widely seen as a Richard Hughes signing and otherwise Slot was left to work with the players left to him by Jurgen Klopp.

Slot’s former club Feyenoord have been tipped to provide a a trio of transfer targets in the shape of David Hancko, Givairo Read and Igor Paixao.
Arne Slot charmed by Orkun Kokcu
Hancko was a mainstay of Slot’s Feyenoord defence and now looks set for a blockbuster summer transfer.
Read meanwhile made his debut under Slot but has gone from strength to strength in recent months under former Arsenal and Manchester United striker Robin van Persie.
Paixao is widely seen as the best player in the Eredivisie and is likely to make the step up to a bigger league this summer.
And one former Slot favourite who moved on from Feyenoord back in 2023 has now been associated with a reunion with his former boss this summer.
Kokcu buyout set at €150m
Orkun Kokcu, a midfield all-rounder, joined Benfica having won the Eredivisie title under Slot. He has since established himself in the Portuguese side’s midfield, scoring seven goals and adding six assists in the Primeira Liga this season.
Now it’s been reported by Record that Slot remains “charmed” by the 24-year-old and could seek to add him to the Liverpool ranks.
Under contract until 2028, the Turkey international has got a €150 million buyout clause but could move for an €80m fee according to the report.
Liverpool’s interest is described as serious and it’s not the first time the Reds have been linked. Slot and Kokcu enjoy a close relationship, with the playmaker describing his former mentor as a father figure in an interview earlier this season.
