'Incredible' Liverpool transfer target makes feelings CLEAR over potential summer move
Liverpool transfer target Crysencio Summerville has made his feelings clear about a potential Leeds United exit this summer amid significant interest from the Reds.
Anfield Watch revealed previously that Summerville was a player that Liverpool were keen to pursue this summer, with the youngster having shone with Leeds in the Championship this season.
Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Summerville is on Liverpool's radar ahead of the summer window, with the club expected to target at least one wide forward.
Of course, Liverpool may have to target more than one should Luis Diaz leave the club, with the Liverpool winger strongly linked with a move to Barcelona.
Summerville is understandably of interest to Liverpool. Not just because incoming manager Arne Slot shares the same nationality, but because he produced a combined 28 goals and assists for Leeds over the course of the Championship season.
He also scored for the Yorkshire outfit en route to the play-off final, a game that could see him and his teammates return to the Premier League at the first time of asking.
CRYSENCIO SUMMERVILLE FUTURE STANCE
Liverpool's pursuit of Summerville may have been dealt a significant setback as TeamTalk report that the 22-year-old is not actively seeking a move in the upcoming transfer window.
He's not willing to force a transfer away from Elland Road and is content at the club, even if they don't earn promotion to the Premier League.
Summerville has also supposedly been put off forcing a switch by Wilfried Gnonto's failed attempts to do just that last summer.
The Dutchman would cost Liverpool around £30m according to various reports and Leeds may be forced to sell £100m worth of players this summer if they fail to get promoted.
If that turns out to be true, Summerville is likely to be the prized asset that they cash in on, with the likes of Chelsea and Newcastle United willing to rival Liverpool's interest.
Summerville, who was once labelled 'incredible' by former Man City defender Nedum Onuoha, would be a clever addition to Liverpool's ranks.
