Mohamed Salah has already reached 20 Premier League goals for the season after just 23 games being played and across all competitions, he has 42 goal contributions to his name.
The Reds' next most prolific attacking asset has been Cody Gakpo who has delivered 15 goals and five assists so far this campaign.
Beyond those two, Luis Diaz has been incredibly hot and cold, Darwin Nunez has been as wasteful as he usually is in front of goal and both Diogo Jota and Federico Chiesa have been hampered significantly by injuries.
However, in front of Liverpool's sporting director Richard Hughes, who attended the Reds' visit to Bournemouth, one Premier League talent, in particular, showcased why he has had such an impressive season, proving himself to be ready for a big move in the summer.
Semenyo to solve Liverpool's problems
Against Liverpool's full-backs, Antoine Semenyo created havoc in the Reds' 2-0 win over the Cherries.
His energy on the pitch was clear and at times, Trent Alexander-Arnold did not know how to cope with him.
Despite missing two big chances, he was a constant threat in front of goal and it is clear that had he not been against such an assured centre-back pairing as Virgil Van Dijk and Ibrahima Konate, he could've scored a hatful.
In addition, Alisson Becker had one of his best displays of the season in goal for Liverpool, making four clutch saves which will have frustrated the Ghanaian. Across the season he has delivered 10 goal contributions and he would've been desperate to add to that on Saturday.
Against a team defending slightly less staunchly, he could've added a couple of goals to a statement performance that just lacked cutting edge.
Despite Liverpool leading the league by nine points, the win came simply because of Salah's brace - scoring a penalty that was won by Gakpo and then swinging in a tidy finish after beating Milos Kerkez in the box.
We know that the club is yet to solve his contract situation so it is still a possibility that the Egyptian might be leaving the club this season. And while Bournemouth will be unwilling to let him go without a fight, Semenyo could be a feasible replacement if Salah were to depart.
In addition, the club's slightly less frugal attackers will need to be assessed at the end of the season and the club may look at freshening up the squad with some new personnel. Semenyo's raw passion on the ball is reminiscent of how Diaz started his career on Merseyside.
Valued at €30.8M by Football Transfers and given Richard Hughes' connections with Bournemouth, having moved from the south coast just this summer, a move could be more straightforward to pull off than you might think.

So far, the Reds are yet to be formally linked with the forward, but if the club happened to take anything from his performance, then nothing can be ruled out and Liverpool love to work in the shadows until a deal is in the closing stages.
