Liverpool scouting TWO potential Andy Robertson REPLACEMENTS
Liverpool are keeping a close eye on potential replacements for left-back, Andy Robertson, as they look to the future of their defensive lineup.
The 30-year-old has been a cornerstone of Liverpool’s defence since his arrival from Hull City seven years ago, offering defensive solidity, pinpoint passes and incredible attacking play. He has been integral to Liverpool success in recent years.
Liverpool have identified the left-back position as one with room for potential improvement with Robertson having a difficult season so far, with his contract currently expiring in 2026 as well as the Reds only having one established back-up option in Kostas Tsimikas.
Liverpool eye up potential options
According to TEAMtalk, Liverpool are looking at preparing a bid for Bournemouth's Milos Kerkez.
Liverpool see Kerkez as a strong candidate for a long-term replacement for Robertson and are said to have conducted an extensive evaluation on the young left-back. The club has been tracking the 20-year-old's progress over the past few months and have been impressed by his ability and maturity in the Premier League at such a young age.
Kerkez has quickly adapted to the pace and physicality of English football since joining Bournemouth last year, and his combination of defensive solidity and attacking flair has caught Liverpool’s eye.
The Reds have been heavily linked with the Hungarian international with the Cherries who have managed to keep hold of him so far. However, Kerkez is expected to leave in 2025 and Liverpool will almost certainly be in the mix.
Reds also monitoring Wolves star
Liverpool are also said to be monitoring Wolves' number three Rayan Ait-Nouri as reported by TBR Football.
TBR Football states that the Reds have even been tracking Ait-Nouri for more than 12 months, with the Algeria international, who Wolves signed in a £9.5m deal from Angers in 2021, being firmly on Liverpool's radar.
The 23-year-old has become an instrumental player for Gary O'Neil's side, often adopting roles beyond that of a traditional left-back, pushing upfield and contributing in ways similar to a central or even attacking midfielder. His versatility has made him a valuable asset, with his offensive contributions standing out already this season.
In just nine Premier League appearances, the Algerian international has scored three goals and provided two assists, showcasing his ability to impact games at both ends of the pitch.
His current valuation on TransferMarkt sits at around €35 million, but with his recent form it wouldn't be a surprised Wolves demanded closer to double that amount.
