Liverpool transfer news: Star exit door OPENS to big Saudi offers
Liverpool are set for a significant overhaul in the goalkeeping department over the next few transfer windows.
Next summer Giorgi Mamardashvili arrives when his current loan deal with Valencia expires and the Georgia international is expected to challenge immediately for the No.1 spot.

The glove are currently held by Caoimhin Kelleher with the Irishman performing admirably as Alisson Becker’s deputy. Kelleher, 26, came close to leaving Liverpool last summer but sporting director Richard Hughes had no takers for the asking price put on Kelleher’s head.
However, if the situation doesn’t change it’s expected that the Ireland international WILL depart in order to become first choice elsewhere.
Alisson's exit admission
Meanwhile, Alisson has admitted that he would like to return to boyhood club Internacional in Brazil. The 32-year-old is out of contract in 2026 - with an option held to extend for another year - but is facing serious scrutiny regarding his future.
Injuries don’t help of course but the arrival of Mamardashvili could well signal Liverpool’s intent to move on from the Champions League and Premier League-winning hero.
And the Brazil No.1 could have one more stop before he ends up at Internacional in his homeland. It’s been reported that ‘several’ clubs in Saudi Arabia are ready to make an attempt to entice Alisson to the Saudi Pro League.
Alisson was subject to interest from the SPL last summer - with Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr reported to be interested - but he ultimately ended up staying with Liverpool.
But Fichajes is now stating that SPL clubs are ready to pounce.
Foreign player slots are currently unavailable to most SPL clubs - and especially those super-rich sides operated by the Public Investment found - but that is expected to change throughout the next few windows.
It shouldn’t be an issue to make space for Alisson and if the Reds decide to enter into negotiations with any Saudi suitors then Mamardashvili could end up facing very little competition for his No.1 status at Anfield.
