Manchester United's Alejandro Garnacho appears to have settled the future of one Liverpool star. Here's how it happened.

It appears Alejandro Garnacho could be leaving Manchester United before long. The Argentine is a little out of favour at Old Trafford, especially under Ruben Amorim.

It's led to United revoking his 'untouchable' transfer status. Essentially, they've opened the door to a sale, having previously held a stance of rejecting all offers for the winger.

That's according to the Manchester Evening News. And to be fair to Garnacho, he's not the only player to suffer that fate - he's one of four to lose their previously invulnerable status.

And that naturally has teams looking at him. Napoli are the most interesting, given they're hoping to find a replacement for Kvicha Kvaratskhelia.

The Georgian is heavily linked with a move away but it won't be to Liverpool, it seems. All the talk suggests Kvaratskhelia is off to Paris Saint-Germain.

Garnacho is Napoli's initial pick to fill the Kvara-void. That's the claim from Sport Italia, anyway.

The youngster must be somewhat open to the idea, too. It's hard to believe that Napoli would pick him as a replacement without vetting it out first, after all.

And with that, a Liverpool star's future may be settled.

Federico Chiesa's future

Federico Chiesa is not having the greatest time at Anfield, even with his recent goal. The Italian has struggled badly for fitness, especially after his lack of pre-season with Juventus.

That has reports linking him with a move away from Liverpool after just a few months. Sky Italia, for instance, believe Antonio Conte wants him at Napoli.

That would naturally be as a replacement for Kvaratskhelia, however. And if Garnacho is that, it's difficult to see how Napoli would also move for Chiesa.

He's unlikely to swap Liverpool's bench for Napoli's - unless he's really that homesick. So we imagine the interest in Garnacho ends any chance of an exit for Chiesa.

His availability seals Chiesa's future at Anfield, at least until the end of the season. If United agree to sell, of course.
