Liverpool take MAJOR step towards Ademola Lookman deal
Liverpool have taken a very important first step as they look to seal a transfer for Ademola Lookman.
Liverpool will look to restructure their attack in the summer, with the club unsure about several current stars. Anfield Watch understands there are questions over how reliable the current forwards are and that an overhaul is on the way.

Now, the extent of that overhaul depends on a few factors. The biggest is Mo Salah and whether he remains at Liverpool beyond this season.
If he does, then the club can look towards the long-term and bank on Salah's goals next season. If he leaves, an elite goalscorer becomes an immediate necessity.
But there are other factors. Liverpool received a massive offer from Saudi Arabia for Darwin Nunez, as exclusively revealed by Anfield Watch. There's no guarantee that the same offer will arrive this summer.
Again, whether it does or not changes things quite dramatically. And what of Luis Diaz and Diogo Jota? There's certainly interest in both but Liverpool won't exactly sell cheap.

The club are looking at targets, though, and it appears they've narrowed one down. They've even taken the first step.
Liverpool and Ademola Lookman
JuveLive reports that Juventus feel as though they've fallen down the pecking order for Ademola Lookman. That's primarily because of Premier League interest.
Two teams lead the race in that regard: Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur. Both are interested in signing Lookman and they've even decided on a price of €45m.

Juventus aren't going to match that, while the report says Lookman is 'keen' to move back to English football. That's something we exclusively revealed here at Anfield Watch.
Liverpool, then, have taken that important first step. They've decided on the rough price they'd like to pay for Lookman ahead of what could be a bit of a fight with Spurs.
The Reds, though, like the look of Lookman. They appear to believe he could be a genuine option for the squad and if Atalanta are willing to deal, Liverpool will be there.
