Liverpool will REGRET letting star midfielder join Man City
Liverpool will regret letting a brilliant young midfielder slip out of their fingers and join Manchester City.
Liverpool will be busy in the summer transfer window, with plenty to consider for Richard Hughes and the like. This squad is one that faces almighty change.

The big three contract situations need sorting, of course. Mo Salah, Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold are all out of contract this summer.
Anfield Watch understands an overhaul of the attack is planned, too. That should see several comings and goings.
Centre-back and left-back are targeted on top of it all. And then there's that midfield.
The midfield has been brilliant this season - one of the best in the world - but it wasn't actually the plan. Liverpool desperately tried to sign Martin Zubimendi from Real Sociedad, only for the deal to fall apart right at the last moment.

And so there remains something of a desire to sign a new midfielder. Even if the priority isn't quite as high as it was, Liverpool never filled the 'gap' in that squad that Zubimendi was supposed to fill.
The perfect player to do so could be about to join Manchester City, however.
Liverpool must move for Adam Wharton
The Boot Room claims Manchester City are watching Crystal Palace star Adam Wharton very closely. They're not alone in that, though - Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea and Aston Villa are all doing the same.
But this is a race Liverpool should push to win. Wharton is exactly what they need to boost this midfield and give them the Zubimendi alternative that fits them right now.
We're big, big fans and have pushed for this transfer recently. It's one that simply makes sense from every perspective.

He's still so young (21) and wouldn't need to be an immediate star at the base of midfield. Liverpool could show him patience - and reap the rewards down the line, potentially when Wataru Endo moves on.
But Wharton would also help fix the homegrown problem. Liverpool are at risk of losing several homegrown stars this summer, with Alexander-Arnold, Caoimhin Kelleher, and Joe Gomez among those linked with exits.
It's not often that a player comes along with the right playstyle for what you're after, the youth to be a long-term investment and helps towards the homegrown quota. Wharton does just that.
He'll be a true diamond for any major club that signs him. We hope that's Liverpool - because they'll regret letting it be Man City.
