Liverpool's all-time top scorers in Europe
Liverpool are, without question, one of the great clubs in European football.
Only Real Madrid and AC Milan can boast more Champions League (or European cup) titles than Liverpool's six, while the Reds have also lifted the Europa League (or UEFA Cup) on three occasions.
With all that history, it's even more impressive then that current number 11 Mohamed Salah ranks as the club's all-time top scorer in European competitions.
The Egyptian winger has racked up 43 goals in just 69 appearances since his debut back in 2017, with a strike rate of a goal every 1.6 games on the continent.
Though not in the Champions League this season, Salah has the chance to extend his lead at the top of the Reds' charts even further this season, with Jurgen Klopp and co tipped to go deep in the Europa League.
Here's a breakdown of Liverpool's top scorers in Europe:
Liverpool's all-time top goalscorers in European competition overall
Overall, Salah – who has played in three Champions League finals for Liverpool, scoring in one – leads the pack in overall European competition for the Reds with his 44 strikes.
He overtook club legend, Steven Gerrard for that honour last season.
Liverpool's captain fantastic finished his time at Anfield with 41 European goals in 130 outings (across both the Champions League and Europa League).
Sadio Mane (26) and Roberto Firmino (24) make their way into the top five, having both played starring roles in the club's golden period under Klopp between 2018 and 2022.
Legendary poacher Michael Owen completes the top five, with 22 in 50 from his Liverpool tenure.
Perhaps, more surprisingly, cult hero Dirk Kuyt sneaks into the top ten with 15 strikes. The Dutchman scored in the 2007 Champions League final as the Reds were defeated by AC Milan. However, the majority of his European goals came in the following 2007/08 season.
Liverpool's all-time top goalscorers in the Europa League/UEFA Cup
In the Europa League, however, Salah has just two goals to his name. In fairness, he has only played 82 minutes in the competition to date.
It's not hard to believe that the 31-year-old could find himself rocketing up the Reds' list of Europa League/UEFA Cup all-time top scorers list very soon though.
Michael Owen, who won the tournament in 2001, is currently the man with the most goals (12) for Liverpool in Europe's second tier competition.
Behind him is Dean Saunders who scored a mightily impressive nine times in just five appearances – including four in one game against Kuusysi Lathi in 1991 – and Steven Gerrard, who also scored nine but across a more modest 38 outings.
Strikers John Toshack (7) and Kevin Keegan (7) make up the rest of the top five – both players scored in the 1976 final win over Club Brugge.
