Sadio Mane's imminent transfer to Saudi Pro League side Al Nassr will see Liverpool lose out on several million in income.

The Senegalese forward appears to be edging towards a permanent move to Saudi Arabia after an underwhelming season with Bayern Munich, who he joined last summer.

The Reds were reported to have banked in £27.5m from Mane's sale in 2022. However, the Daily Mail claim that £7.5m of that total was dependent on performance-related add-ons, which Mane has not achieved at Bayern.

After a pretty impressive start to life in Germany, with three Bundesliga goals in as many goals for the club, Mane struggled to get to grips with German football. The 31-year-old also faced three months on the sidelines as he underwent surgery on a leg injury that ruled him out of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

The 2019 Premier League Golden Boot winner's fortunes failed to take a turn for the better when Bayern appointed Thomas Tuchel in March of this year, with the likes of Serge Gnabry, Kingsley Coman and Leroy Sane regularly placed ahead of him in the pecking order at the business end of the 2022/23 campaign.

Things went from bad to worse for Mane as he was involved in a fight with Sane after Bayern's UEFA Champions League elimination at the hands of Manchester City. The incident even resulted in a hefty fine and a one-game ban for the former Southampton star.

While Mane initially vowed to stay at Bayern and fight for his place, he now looks set to leave the club as he prepares to join forces with Cristiano Ronaldo, Seko Fofana and Marcelo Brozovic at Al-Nassr.

Despite his an underwhelming campaign, Bayern Munich are still set to make a profit on Mane, with a fee of £34m agreed between the clubs.

Meanwhile the player will reportedly earn a whopping £650k a week in wages, and stands to earn around £136m over the course of a four-year deal which runs until June 2027.
