For 19-year-old forward Lewis Koumas, his skills are currently on display on loan at Stoke City in the Championship.

He has been highly touted by the club as one of the next big prospects and his talent is already beginning to shine through at such a young age.

Koumas on fire for the Potters

The Welshman has been a key asset for Stoke this season, playing eleven of their 17 matches in the Championship.

And just six minutes into their game against high-flying Sunderland, he notched his second league goal of the season, with a cheeky and inventive finish.

After breaking away down the right-hand side of the pitch, timing his run to perfection in order to stay onside, he latched onto a long ball and got an effort on target which was saved by the keeper, before bending a rebound effort into the far corner of the net.

That makes it six goal contributions for the young Welshman this season at Stoke in all competitions.

And in addition to playing for the Potters, Koumas managed to impress Welsh national team coach Craig Bellamy earlier in the season, leading to his first senior appearances for his country.

Upon being given his international debut, he was described by the coach as 'fearless'.

Speaking earlier in the campaign via The Guardian, Bellamy said: "With Lewis, every bit I've seen of him, I've just loved... Fearless. He's one of those players who just, every time he has it [the ball], you feel like something's going to happen, something positive happens.

"They're the players you would love to coach or you'd love to just go and watch."

While playing with complete freedom, the 19-year-old is making a clear case to be fast-tracked into the Liverpool set-up next season.

Arne Slot has so far proved that he is comfortable giving young players a chance, and as he continues to develop, Koumas will undoubtedly be making an impression on the Liverpool head coach.
