According to the latest reports, a player who is on the radar of Liverpool could yet be on the move this summer with his club expecting 'last minute' approaches.

Liverpool are still actively pursuing transfers in the market. Despite not making a single signing this summer, the club have been trying to complete deals and pursue targets to no avail so far.

The latest setback has seen Liverpool miss out on Martin Zubimendi, with the midfielder deciding he wanted to stay at Real Sociedad, despite the Reds being keen to bring him to Anfield.

Now, Liverpool must turn their attention elsewhere with plenty left to do in the market.

Liverpool target Johan Bakayoko latest transfer news

One area where Liverpool could look to strengthen is in attack. The club are actively pursuing a deal for a wide attacking player and have been linked with PSV winger Johan Bakayoko in the past.

The Belgian international is the subject of plenty of interest with journalist Sacha Tavolieri reporting that Nottingham Forest have made an approach for his services earlier this summer.

That approach did not come to fruition. However, his report claims that PSV are still prepared for any 'last minute' offers can happen and already have some replacements on their radar.

It remains to be seen whether Liverpool enter the conversation for Bakayoko. At this stage, it does feel like there are other priorities to sort out before making a move for an offensive player.

Nonetheless, he is certainly an exciting winger with plenty of potential. Not to mention he is also someone who Arne Slot will know well, having come up against him numerous times in the Eredivisie over the course of the last couple of seasons.
