Liverpool target confirms he wants January move right NOW

The news that Khvicha Kvaratskhelia may be available shook the footballing world on Thursday evening.

It was reported that Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) were in negotiations with Napoli for the Georgian superstar, with a reported fee of €80m desired by the Italian side.

And whilst a large salary offer should be on the table, it has been suggested that PSG currently can’t afford the transfer fee for the winger.

Because of this Premier League interest has emerged, least of all from Liverpool who have been interested in Kvaratskhelia for some time.

And now Napoli manager Antonio Conte had dropped a bombshell: confirming that Kvaratskhelia wants to leave.

“Kvaratskhelia has asked to leave the club.” he said in a pre-match press conference today, as reported by transfer guru Fabrizio Romano on Twitter.

“I spoke to Khvicha and he confirmed his plan to leave the club immediately.”

This is seismic news in what could be a sensational transfer saga. Kvaratskhelia being available itself came as a massive shock - and now the news that he has asked to leave the club means the deal is there to be done now.

If PSG have to scrape together the transfer fee, Liverpool have the opportunity to swoop in and get a deal done.

A report yesterday stated that Napoli are keen on Federico Chiesa as part of the package to fill the void that Kvaratskhelia will leave. This gives Liverpool a distinct advantage in negotiations, being able to offer a desired player plus a smaller transfer fee to stem the blow.

Chiesa’s wages are reported to be £150,000 per week. Getting these off the books would be a route to instantly offering an acceptable deal to Kvaratskhelia who reportedly only earns around £33k per week at present.

PSG’s offer is thought to take him above £150,000 weekly. Liverpool have the ability to offer more in this case.

This one shouldn’t be overthought. Get it done and get it done now.
