Liverpool striker SIGNS new contract
Liverpool fans have been waiting patiently for positive contract news all season long.
Liverpool FC Transfer News Today: Door open for mega £50m deal on Deadline Day
Mohamed Salah, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Virgil van Dijk are all out of contract in summer 2025 and no breakthrough has yet been reached over a new deal for any of them.

As it stands, Arne Slot is set to LOSE three of his most important players at the end of the current campaign.
Salah has been most closely linked with a move to Saudi Arabia and Al Hilal are determined to add the Egyptian before the FIFA Club World Cup kicks off in June.
Alexander-Arnold, meanwhile, could move to Real Madrid with Los Blancos being denied the opportunity to buy the right-back during the January window.
Van Dijk’s future looked assured just a few weeks ago but a lack of a signature on the contract means his future too looks up in the air.
All three have been entitled to speak to overseas clubs about a pre-contract agreement since January 1 and fans are justifiably worried about facing next season without them.
It doesn’t appear as if any breakthrough is imminent and there are also concerns over Ibrahima Konate and to a lesser extent Luis Diaz.
Sporting director Richard Hughes therefore has plenty in his inbox as he attempts to sort out Liverpool’s stars long-term.
Jayden Danns' new Liverpool contract
One player who looks certain to extend his stay on Merseyside however is striker Jayden Danns.
The 19-year-old took his first steps in the senior team under Jurgen Klopp last season and since recovering from injury has been in and around the first-team under Arne Slot.
He has appeared four times for the Dutchman - including appearances in the Premier League and Champions League - and has scored in the FA Cup.
His injury prevented a loan move from taking place last summer with Plymouth linked most strongly but interest has again materialised as the January window ticks to a close.
Sunderland now appear to be leading the chase for the homegrown frontman, with Danns set to join the Championship side on loan until the end of the season.
But before he leaves for the Stadium of Light, it looks as though Danns will renew his contract at Anfield. It’s been reported in Football Insider that Danns is about to put pen to paper on a new deal, despite only signing a new contract in 2024.

That suggests the striker is highly valued and the Reds’ hierarchy will be keeping a close eye on his development for the second half of the campaign as Sunderland aim for a return to the Premier League.
