Ibrahima Konate was deemed not fit enough to face Manchester United as Liverpool make three changes for their FA Cup quarter-final test this afternoon.

Konate has been an injury doubt for the Reds since his withdrawal at Sparta Prague last week - and Sunday's game has come too soon for the France international, with Jarell Quansah starting in his stead.

Staying in defence, Joe Gomez is preferred at right-back to the in-form Conor Bradley, with Jurgen Klopp opting for a more experienced option to quell the threat of Alejandro Garnacho.

Alexis Mac Allister and Virgil van Dijk also return to the starting lineup after being rested in midweek's Europa League clash with Sparta Prague.

Luis Diaz acts as the third change for Liverpool, coming in for Cody Gakpo who came ever so close to a first Liverpool hat-trick on Thursday.

The Colombian starts alongside Mohamed Salah and Darwin Nunez in Liverpool's front three, while Wataru Endo and Dominik Szoboszlai join Mac Allister in the midfield.

Andy Robertson gets a second successive start at left-back after taking the captain's armband against Sparta Prague, while Caoimhin Kelleher starts between the sticks.

In a rare injury boost for the Reds, Ryan Gravenberch is selected in a first match-day squad since he was forced off in the first half of Liverpool's Carabao Cup final triumph over Chelsea at Wembley last month. The Dutchman starts the game on the bench.

With the game acting as Liverpool's final outing before the March international break, they will hope to leave on a high with dreams of a quadruple still in tact.

Liverpool starting XI to face Manchester United: Kelleher, Gomez, Quansah, Van Dijk, Robertson, Endo, Szoboszlai, Mac Allister, Salah, Nunez, Diaz.

Subs: Adrian, Gakpo, Elliott, Tsimikas, Gravenberch, Clark, McConnell, Danns, Bradley.
