While it may get lost in all the defensive changes the team requires, the forward line is in desperate need of recruitment as it has become clear that the current situation is untenable.

No one can argue that Mohamed Salah has carried this team almost single-handedly to the Premier League title this season. It's beyond absurd what the eight-season wonder has pulled off.

Across 43 games for Liverpool, the Egyptian has 32 goals and 22 assists, and he is on track to post the best attacking display in a campaign that this country has ever seen.

Meanwhile, Diogo Jota, Darwin Nunez and Luis Diaz have been incredibly underwhelming this season, especially compared to their own standards and it is clear that change is required if the Reds want to continue their successful start to the Arne Slot era.

As such, whenever a forward player becomes available on the transfer market, Liverpool should be taking note; the club can't afford to be missing out on players due to lousy recruitment awareness.

Bayern announce their intention to sign Barcola

When Liverpool got knocked out of the Champions League to PSG, it was well understood that the Reds had simply been beaten by a superior team.

One key member of the French attack that comprehensively battered Slot's team is Bradley Barcola, who is already performing at a consistently high level at the age of 22.

He joined PSG back in 2023 from Lyon for £39m and he has since integrated himself into Luis Enrique's extremely talented forward line.

Across the season so far, he has 18 goals and 12 assists in 43 games, which are by far the best numbers of his career to date.

So it should be to no surprise that clubs have taken notice and plans are being put in place in case the young winger becomes available this summer, with Bayern Munich the leading interested party.

The German football X account Bayern & Germany (@iMiaSanMia) are reporting that the German giants are 'watching several profiles of attacking players [and] Bradley Barcola is one of the attractive options for the club.'

In addition, SportBild reported just over a week ago that Bayern boss Vincent Kompany and sporting director Christoph Freund were present in the Parc Des Princes for PSG's 3-1 win over Marseille, potentially hoping to scout Barcola.

However, if anyone is in need of attacking recruits this summer, it is Liverpool, and the Reds were given a front-row seat to admire what the Frenchman is capable of when PSG visited Anfield.

The likelihood that Barcola or another PSG forward player might be available this summer is high, given the winter addition of Kvicha Khvaratskehlia to the side, making Barcola now one of almost five or six forwards playing in the French capital.

As such, if Liverpool are to lose one of Jota, Nunez or Diaz this summer, then where better to look than Barcola if he becomes available?

The wonderkid is capable of playing on both wings, which could also help the club's efforts to replace Salah if the Egyptian leave this season following the expiration of his contract. It's a no brainer.
