Here are our Liverpool player ratings vs Sheffield United in the Premier League. The Reds overcame a wobble to win 3-1.

Caoimhin Kelleher: 8

Great save early on and his passing was brilliant throughout. Didn't have a chance on the Sheffield United goal.

Conor Bradley: 6

Things didn't quite come off for him tonight but his drive was fantastic.

Ibrahima Konaté: 7

Didn't have much to do all night but controlled the Blades when asked to.

Virgil van Dijk: 7

As above, really.

Joe Gomez: 5

Just couldn't make anything happen from left-back, unfortunately. A shift into the middle in the second half was short-lived.

Alexis Mac Allister: 10

Just about the perfect game here. Playing in a role he wasn't even that familiar with at the start of the season, Mac Allister ran the game, then scored an extraordinary winner. And then hit the bar from a mile out. He's just unreal.

Ryan Gravenberch: 6

His first start in over a month and Gravenberch had moments here where he looked sharp. His end product wasn't quite up to scratch, though.

Dominik Szoboszlai: 6

Ran well, had some decent flicks and moments but couldn't make things happen in the final third.

Mohamed Salah: 6

An incredibly quiet game in terms of shots. Still made some very good passes that should have led to more. Went off earliy, presumably to save him for Sunday.

Luis Diaz: 6

A quiet-ish night from Diaz. Chances just didn't open up for him the way they could have. All the basics were fantastic as always.

Darwin Nunez: 8

Scored the opener purely through pressing, which is a novelty. Made things happen, as always, and there's no doubt now that Liverpool are better with him up top.

Subs

Andy Robertson: 8

What a sensational cross for the third goal. That was Andy Robertson at his best and Liverpool's left-flank was a lot more dangerous and productive once he was on.

Harvey Elliott: 6

Even if things weren't perfect on the ball, Elliott's intensity lifted Liverpool as soon as he was on. They needed it, too.

Curtis Jones: 7

Liverpool's complete control over the game returned once Jones got on. It's possible a midfield two of him and Mac Allister may never give the ball away.

Cody Gakpo: 8

His brightest cameo for quite some time. Gakpo was inventive and driven once he was on - absolutely deserved his goal.
