Liverpool set to make GIGANTIC Mo Salah decision within days

Mo Salah's future could be decided within the next few days according to one report.

The Liverpool winger is still in negotiations with the club over a new deal with his current contract expiring at Anfield at the end of the season.

The club are hoping to keep Salah for the foreseeable future given the Egyptian is one of the best players in world football at the moment.

However, it seems as though the two parties are yet to come to an agreement. Although this could change very soon according to a report coming from Egypt.

Salah decision to be made in the next few days

TV presenter and Serie A commentator Michel Saad speaking to Egyptian outlet Veto was asked about his knowledge of the current situation between Liverpool and Salah.

Saad revealed the reason why negotiations have stumbled is over the length of the contract Liverpool are willing to offer to the Egyptian.

"Liverpool are pushing to renew Mohamed Salah's contract on their own terms" Saad said.

"He deserves to have his contract renewed on any terms, and the team's strength will be considerably diminished upon his exit.

"The real crisis is Liverpool's desire to renew Salah's contract for one year with an option to extend it, which he rejects due to his preference for a three-year or at least two-year extension as he looks to break records."

But while it seems as though the two parties are still far apart, Saad revealed that he believes there will be a decision made about Salah's future imminently.

"Mohamed Salah's contract situation will be decided in large part over the next few days, especially now that Liverpool's management has decided to renew Virgil van Dijk's contract with an official announcement pending," Saad said.

"The Reds are stepping up their efforts with Salah to end that contract renewal file due to intense public pressure."

It remains to be seen whether Saad is right and what that decision might end up being.

Undoubtedly, Liverpool will hope to come to an agreement with Salah. But for everyone involved the best and most important thing is to come to a decision and settle this ongoing limbo.

One way or another both parties need clarity so that they can prepare for the future accordingly.
