Liverpool set to lose ANOTHER Mo Salah contract battle
Through his efforts this season - 38 goal contributions across all competitions - and his returns across the past eight seasons, Mohamed Salah has become a rare asset in world football.
His consistency is unmatched, and so Liverpool are firmly on the back foot in negotiating a contract extension for the Egyptian, as he enters the last few months of his stay on Merseyside before he becomes a free agent.

In addition, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Virgil Van Dijk are also at risk of leaving the club at the end of the season, and the futures of Luis Diaz and Darwin Nunez are both uncertain. The club has a lot on its plate right now.
Most recently, an incoming transfer move was reported that could have given the Reds the leverage they need to tie down Salah, however, Liverpool's executives may be on the cusp of yet another blow to their negotiating strategy.
Kvaratskehlia set to move to PSG
Liverpool are on the market for a number of different recruits - particularly focusing on a new left-back, centre-back, defensive midfielder and striker. However, sporting director Richard Hughes is also on alert for 'opportunistic' transfers.
One such move was reported earlier this week in the form of Georgian winger Kvicha Kvaratskehlia at Napoli, who is looking for a move away from Italy this January.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the player has opened the doors for an exit from Napoli sooner rather than later, and according to David Ornstein's insight at The Athletic, Liverpool are monitoring his situation.
At just 23 years old, the winger is one of the most talented players in the world in his position and many have considered his game to be not too dissimilar to Mo Salah.
His resemblance in dribbling and attacking finesse is clear, but his transfer would also be similar to the business Liverpool did in 2017 in securing the Egyptian's services.
Anfield Watch has since spoken to an expert about Kvaratskehlia, and it is clear that if the Reds could get the deal over the line, then it would be a significant transfer pull.
The Georgian forward has the quality to deliver prolific goal returns and that would solve a problem that Liverpool have had for some time.
Salah has been far and above the team's best forward since he arrived on Merseyside and that is creating a whole host of problems for the club's negotiating team with regard to his contract.
If Liverpool were to get Kvaratskehlia over the line, then the club could potentially afford to not give in to Salah's demands, knowing they have the best up-and-coming replacement on the market.
However, reports are currently suggesting that Paris Saint Germain are more likely to sign Kvaratskehlia, which would eliminate any leverage that Liverpool might've been able to utilise in their contract negotiations.
As such, ensuring that Salah remains at Liverpool next season is all the more important, because his absence is likely to be felt significantly while the remainder of the forward personnel are lacking the Egyptian's cutting edge.
