Liverpool striker AGONISINGLY misses out on £8m jackpot
Liverpool legend Robbie Fowler came AGONISINGLY close to landing a $10 million (£8m) jackpot on Saturday.
The ex-Reds striker was taking part in the Reignwood Icons of Football golf event in Bangkok, Thailand, over the weekend alongside some of the biggest names in the game.

It was Team England, led by Lee Westwood, versus Team World, marshalled by Sergio Garcia.
Among Fowler’s Team England colleagues were the likes of Paul Ince, Teddy Sheringham and Paul Scholes while ex-Red Patrik Berger, Luis Figo, Gabriel Batistuta and Carlos Tevez were teeing off for Team World.

Team England emerged decisive winners following the two-day 10-hole matchplay event - winning 72 - 33 at the Robinswood Golf Course in the Thai capital.
Fowler's $10m Swing
As part of the event, players lined up attempting to hit a hole-in-one at the 12th hole.
The so-called “$10m swing” is known as the richest hole in golf with any player sinking an ace entitled to a share of the prize alongside fans and charities.

Fowler aimed his iron shot onto the green of the 170-yard 12th, but his effort rolled just short of the hole.
Fowler: I was bottling it!
Nonetheless, given the close-run nature of Fowler’s try, he was heartily congratulated by Batistuta and Tevez on the tee box.
“I'm not going to lie, I was bottling it when I hit that,” Fowler said according to LIV Golf Weekly.
“I think Incy had already spent the money – he was more excited than me. I'm happy, I'm very happy.”
Robbie Fowler's Liverpool legacy
Fowler scored 183 goals for the Reds across two spells with the club. He was a winner of a cup treble in 2001, leading his side to victory in the FA Cup, League Cup and UEFA Cup.
Having emerged as a youth team player in 1991, Fowler went on to captain the club before moving away to Leeds United and Manchester City.
He made an emotional return to Anfield in 2006 under Rafa Benitez, helping the side reach the Champions League final although he played no part in the showpiece against AC Milan.
