Liverpool reveal cheaper new kit with an historic twist

Liverpool fans who do not want to shell out £80 or more for the new home or away shirts have a cheaper option and it comes with a beautiful historic nod to great Liverpool teams of the past.

Liverpool launched their second kit of the pre season last week with the reveal of the black and teal away shirt. The kit was worn by the first team in their impressive 3-0 defeat of Manchester United in the final game of the club's US tour and Liverpool, has now released images of the likes of Harvey Elliot modelling the new shirt.

It follows the launch of the home shirt in June with prices of £80 for the fan version of the shirt and over £100 for 'authentic' versions as worn by the players.

However, a stylish pre-match shirt launched alongside the new away kit could save fans up to £25. The new teal-coloured Nike shirt will be worn by Liverpool's players before away games before they change in to the black away kit. Priced at £55 for an adult shirt and on sale here, the kit featured training kit sponsor AXA instead of the usual shirt sponsor Standard Chartered but does include the Nike tick and Liverpool badge.

The kit is a simple light blue design but does come with an historical twist. The pattern on the shirt is made up of historic Liverpool badges of the past. It matches the red pre match shirt launched with the home shirt and gives fans another option when it comes to wearing club colours for the 2024/25 season.

The club has also launched a teal t-shirt featuring no sponsor priced at £45 and an 'anthem' training jacket priced from £65 alongside the new away kit launch.

There is still one more kit launch set to come for Liverpool this season. The club is expected to reveal a new third shirt. Kit leaks and rumours suggest it will be a white shirt with red trim and a unique 'vertical' Nike swoosh. It will be the first time Nike's new rotated logo will appear on a Liverpool shirt. A date for the third kit launch has not yet been confirmed by the club.
