Liverpool REPLACE Darwin Nunez with incredible £50m forward
Liverpool have already completed a deal to replace Darwin Nunez in Arne Slot's starting line-up.
On Wednesday night, it was more of the same for the Uruguayan forward in a red shirt. Sloppy passes and touches mixed in with woeful finishes in front of goal.

Nunez looked like a deer in headlights and considering this is now his third season at the club, it feels like time has run out for the forward to redeem himself.
A separation might be the best move forward for all parties involved. Especially, since Slot has already replaced Nunez in his starting line-up with another Liverpool star.
How Darwin Nunez has been replaced by Arne Slot
It was telling that the Uruguayan was nowhere to be seen in some of Liverpool's biggest games recently.
Against Manchester City, Slot opted to play Luis Diaz in the no.9 role and left Nunez sitting on the bench.
He did the same against Bayer Leverkusen, where he trialled the Colombian in Nunez's absence in that role.
Both the City game and the Leverkusen match showed marked improvement in Liverpool's performance.
Against the German outfit, Diaz scored a hat-trick and was arguably the Reds' best player on the pitch putting in an incredible performance. Against City, Diaz still showed plenty of threat even if he wasn't involved with the goals.

It's clear Slot has moved on from Nunez. Diaz, who was signed for a fee that could cost up to £50m for Liverpool (The Guardian) seems to be the first choice for the Liverpool head coach.
Internally, Liverpool have therefore already replaced Nunez. When it's not Diaz, Slot has also tried out other players in a false nine role. Szoboszlai played there with some merit in the League Cup earlier on in the season in a game against Brighton where Liverpool scored plenty of goals.
Nunez has scored just one goal in his last 10 games for club and country. He is woefully out of form at the moment, but even when he is in form, it's not like he has been reliable to produce the goods consistently.
Slot's decision to play Diaz out of position in the big games rather than Nunez has been a telling sign and it shows he has already been replaced.
It's only a matter of time until Liverpool replace him externally as well and Nunez departs for pastures new to make way for someone else to come into the side.
