The Hungarian left-back is seen as the ideal target for Richard Hughes as he looks to bring in another defender alongside Andy Robertson.

Liverpool plan on finding a long-term successor for Robertson and Kerkez has been flagged as the perfect choice.
He has long been on the club's radar. Liverpool first entered talks with the Hungarian back in the summer of 2023 before his move to Bournemouth.
At the time, Kerkez opted to choose Bournemouth's offer (with Hughes at the helm) in the hope that he would be given more regular minutes on the pitch.
That has worked dividends for Kerkez, who has been able to establish himself as one of the best young up and coming full-backs not just in the Premier League but the world.

And now it seems Liverpool are closing in on his signature.
Liverpool closing in on £40m Kerkez transfer
Anfield Watch first revealed exclusively that Liverpool held talks with Kerkez's representatives back in November. It is understood those talks were positive and Liverpool are prepared to pay as much as £50m in order to get a deal over the line.
Now the Reds' efforts are ramping up. The iPaper reports that Liverpool are closing in on his signature with Kerkez making his preference clear that he wants to move to Anfield.
The report states that Bournemouth will demand at least £40m for Kerkez's services and that the Reds are yet to table an offer.
But that will only be a matter of time. It's clear Liverpool like what they see when it comes to the Hungarian. Kerkez's energy on the pitch will provide a much needed refresh on the left side.
He has brilliant determination and the ability to make a difference in the final third as well. There are few players his age who are such complete profiles in European football.
The Reds will have tracked him for a long time and will know his strengths and weaknesses. Off the pitch, Dominik Szoboszlai will be able to provide feedback about his mentality having grown close to Kerkez in the Hungarian national team.
Meanwhile, Arne Slot will know him well having faced him as manager of Feyenoord and having had his former assistant at AZ Alkmaar, Pascal Jansen, coach him at the Dutch side.
