Here's our predicted Liverpool lineup as the Reds host Manchester City in their biggest Premier League fixture of the season. Arne Slot has some massive decisions to make.

Who will Arne Slot choose against Manchester City? That's the question in at least three areas - especially after a few more injuries to contend with.

This, though, is one he won't want to get wrong. Liverpool are purring right now and City are very much a wounded animal - a win here would feel like knocking them out of the title race for the first time in four years.

So here's what we think Arne Slot will go for.

Ibrahima Konate out, but who in?

Conor Bradley's injury sorts out the right-back debate - Trent Alexander-Arnold must come back in. Kostas Tsimikas is out, too, meaning Andy Robertson is inevitable at left-back.

Virgil van Dijk is Virgil van Dijk, which sorts out one centre-back. But who's the other?

Ibrahima Konate is injury, ruling him out of this one and likely the rest of the year. There are two options to replace him: Joe Gomez and Jarrel Quansah.

Quansah had the shirt at the start of the season but has struggled every time he's played. Gomez, on the other hand, hasn't had an extended run at centre-back in quite some time.

But we do think it will be Gomez's experience that Slot opts for. He's been here before, has played well when called upon, and it's the one that makes the most sense to us.

Same old midfield choice

Pretty much everyone in midfield is playing well right now. Ryan Gravenberch was once again fantastic against Real Madrid, while Curtis Jones had a brilliant game.

Alexis Mac Allister, of course, scored the opener and was just generally wonderful. But Slot rarely plays the same trio back-to-back.

Especially as Dominik Szoboszlai scored himself the last time he started. It all makes this one difficult to predict but we do think the Hungarian will come back into the team. He didn't play much against Madrid and fresh legs should make a difference.

He usually comes in for Jones and we'll predict the same here as the 'safe' option. But it would well be Mac Allister who drops out. Slot has that luxury in midfield.

Mo Salah starts on the right - we feel confident predicting that. The other positions are all debatable, though.

Darwin Nunez is the only natural striker in the squad right now. We're not sure he starts, though.

Instead, we're predicting Luis Diaz is used centrally and Cody Gakpo comes in on the left. It's something that's worked really well against big European sides in Bayer Leverkusen and Real Madrid.

And it could work well again here. Diaz and Gakpo would both offer a bit more security in possession than Nunez, who would be the perfect threat off the bench against a City defence that's crumbling right now.

But the dominance Liverpool enjoyed with Diaz centrally against Madrid really swung it for us. He feels like the secure option for this one.

(4-2-1-3): Kelleher, Alexander-Arnold, Gomez, Van Dijk, Robertson, Gravenberch, Mac Allister, Szoboszlai, Salah, Diaz, Gakpo
