Neco Williams open to Liverpool exit
Neco Williams would like Liverpool to potentially consider an exit for him from the club in order for him to move to a side where he can get more minutes on the pitch, either temporarily or permanently.
The young full-back has once again been used sparingly this season with Trent Alexander-Arnold obviously still very much nailed down on the right-hand side of defence.
Indeed, when Williams has played we've seen him sometimes moved a little further up the pitch to play on the right-wing, and he's looked quite lively in fairness, but he's never going to get a proper run there either given Mohamed Salah stands in the way normally.
Clearly, then, Williams has it tough at Liverpool with the quality he is up against and it is only natural that he wants to be playing more, with Sky now reporting that he is open to an exit of some sort:
Anfield Watch Verdict
You can't blame Williams for feeling this way and for contemplating his future, any footballer worth their salt would be the same.
Players want to play and Williams, despite still being very young, naturally wants to make the most of his career and to know exactly where it is going to be heading.
If he cannot get guarantees over game time at Liverpool, and it appears as though he can't right now on the evidence so far, then a move away would make perfect sense for him.
It just remains to be seen if it happens, and whether it is a loan deal or a permanent exit.
