Mo Salah FINALLY puts Cole Palmer IN HIS PLACE
Now into his eighth season at Liverpool, Mohamed Salah is aging like a fine wine.
His remarkable consistency in front of goal is showing no sign of fading and he is on track for the best attacking returns of his career this season.

The Egyptian winger already has 16 goals and 13 assists in all competitions for the Reds this campaign, and with no Africa Cup of Nations this season, he will be able to play the entire season for Liverpool, breaking new records as the games fly by.
However, while on Merseyside and among Liverpool fans, his talent is regularly appreciated, Salah is largely underrated when it comes to the overall football-viewing public.
So few players have been able to compete at such a sustained level as Salah has during his career and yet whenever a new hotshot comes in and starts to dominate the scene, the Egyptian is forgotten about.
Salah finally gets his deserved credit
Throughout the season, there are a number of awards and accolades that are presented so that the players receive the recognition that they deserve. Salah, however, is often missed from these lists.
For example, he failed to receive a nomination for the FIFA Best awards and subsequently missed out on the men's Best 11 players as Lamine Yamal was considered the best fit for right-wing.
Imagine that, the most in-form winger in world football being totally ignored by the game's governing body.
In the Ballon d'Or, he was not considered to be in the top 30 best players in Europe.
And in the FIFPro XI, he was also ignored, this time with Vinicius Jr taking the right-wing spot, in order to facilitate Kylian Mbappe in the team. Even in the CAF Best Player awards, Salah was snubbed, although he managed to make it into the best XI.
Domestically in England, it gets no better, as he missed out on last season's Premier League team of the season, while Cole Palmer was crowned PFA player of the year - an award that Salah wasn't even nominated for, despite his consistent goal returns.
But now, in a shock twist, Salah might finally have been given a bit of credit. The Egyptian managed to beat Palmer to the Mirror's 'Fans' Footballer of the Year award' for 2024.
It is his third victory in the last five years, and at least we can say that the fans know what they're talking about when it comes to recognising the best players for their performances.
Whether he will receive recognition in next year's football awards season, is yet to be discovered. On his current form, it would be criminal to not have him in contention for the game's biggest accolades.
But even if he is missed out, time and time again Salah proves his value to Liverpool's team and as much as others may spend their time in the limelight, he will continue to produce world-class numbers behind the scenes.
