Liverpool one step closer to signing NEXT Dominik Szoboszlai
Liverpool have a busy summer transfer window ahead of them with Richard Hughes set to make plenty of changes.
Among them, there is going to be a reshuffle in attack. Anfield Watch exclusively revealed that the trio of Luis Diaz, Darwin Nunez and Diogo Jota will all be up for sale.

It's not guaranteed that all of them will leave, but it's pretty much a given that the Reds are willing to listen to offers for them and are happy to move on.
But that's not all. At this moment in time it is moot whether the trio of Trent Alexander-Arnold, Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk will stay at Anfield beyond the terms of their current deal which expires at the end of the season.
If none of them extend their contracts, there could be as many as six high-profile key players leaving the club this summer.
One player though who is going nowhere is Dominik Szoboszlai.

Why Liverpool are closing on in NEXT Szoboszlai
The Hungarian midfielder has been one of the most important players under Arne Slot this season. He typifies exactly what Slot wants from his midfielders with his fervent energy on the pitch.
That energy and enthusiasm is something RB Leipzig have lacked ever since Szoboszlai left the club for Liverpool in the summer of 2023.
And it seems like the German side are finally going to replace it as they close in on an exciting deal. According to Mozzart Sport, RB Leipzig are nearing an agreement to sign Serbian wonderkid Andrija Markovic from Red Star Belgrade.
On the surface this isn't necessarily a move that has an impact on Liverpool. But actually, it does. Maksimovic has been on Liverpool's radar as well.
He's caught the eye of the club's scouts and the Reds have been exploring a move to sign him. In the end, it's clear that the pathway for him just isn't there at Liverpool at the moment.
This was a similar case with Szoboszlai, who the club had been monitoring since he was a teenager.
When Szoboszlai was at Salzburg, he was not ready to make the step-up to Liverpool. So, instead like Maksimovic he moved to RB Leipzig, which proved to be a smart decision.
An attacking midfielder himself, Maksimovic's decision will only move him closer to a move to Anfield as well, if transfer works out.
Liverpool notoriously have a good working relationship with Red Bull through Michael Edwards and the Reds have signed multiple players from the German side - not just Szoboszlai - including Naby Keita and Ibrahima Konate.
Now Jurgen Klopp is also working for Red Bull, and he'd surely be open to doing business with his former club.
Playing for RB Leipzig will only put Maksimovic further on Liverpool's radar and increase his chances of becoming the 'next' Szoboszlai and following the Hungarian to Anfield.

This is why Maksimovic is a name to keep an eye on. In years to come, he'd could just be the next Red Bull talent to make the move to the Reds.
