Liverpool target Omar Marmoush DECIDES on HUGE move

With Mo Salah’s most recent comments making Liverpool fans all around the world panic, it’s safe to say that the future needs to be planned for as soon as possible.

And despite missing his penalty against Real Madrid last night, Salah was of course central to Liverpool’s dominance over the Champions League holders, terrorising left-back Ferland Mendy whenever he had the ball.

And whilst Darwin Nunez added a shift as workmanlike as any he has done recently, Liverpool’s attacking line looked even more dynamic when Cody Gakpo was brought on and Luis Diaz was moved to a central role.

It was again evidence that the best way Liverpool could support Salah - this season or beyond - is with a dynamic central attacker.

Which makes the approach for Frankfurt’s Omar Marmoush all that more essential.

The links between Liverpool and Marmoush are well founded, despite Frankfurt sporting director Timmo Hardung saying he has had no contact with the Reds about their own Egyptian.

Notorious German outlet BILD have given another twist to the story, reporting that Frankfurt are in talks with Marmoush over a new deal until 2027.

But Marmoush is reportedly unlikely to take up the offer.

Will Marmoush join Salah and Liverpool?

If Marmoush were to reject a new deal, it would be the biggest indication yet that the reports of Liverpool and playing alongside his hero Salah would be the ‘dream destination’ for the attacker.

It would then surely only be a matter of time before Liverpool try and meet Frankfurt’s €50m (£41.6m) valuation of the player.

Frankfurt is one of the only players in the world rivalling Salah for output and influence on his team right now. His 14 goals and 10 assists in 17 games in all competitions highlight the dynamism, selflessness and ability to interact with other attackers that Marmoush has, all whilst contributing at a high level himself.

The idea of pairing him with Salah - as well as Liverpool’s other special attackers - excites Liverpool fans as much as any potential transfer this year so far.

A January move could be the one that takes Liverpool over the line.
