Omar Marmoush was at it again last night for Eintracht Frankfurt.

The Liverpool linked forward showed again why it would be a wise idea for Michael Edwards to get the cheque book out and just hand it over.

The striker was everywhere as Frankfurt beat FC Midtjylland 2-1, climbing to third in the Europa League group phase.

He started the game as brightly as possible, playing in Hugo Larsson with a deft first-time ball from a lazy, looping pass and it was dispatched with a finish even Mo Salah would be proud of.

Marmoush spent the rest of the first half as busy as any player on the pitch, with a few shots needing to be blocked before they reached the keeper, and well-weighted passes to runners in behind that would get any Liverpool fan excited.

Although he’d want back the one-on-one he chipped over the bar just before half-time.

He capped off his night by firing a shot from point-blank range onto the hand of a Midtjylland defender, before showing his compatriot Salah how it’s done by whipping the ball home from the penalty spot.

How would Marmoush fit in Liverpool's team?

It was just another indication of what Marmoush has become this season, central to the play of his team on a European night like it’s the most normal thing in the world.

Importantly, it further showcased how he could be used in Arne Slot’s system should Liverpool manage to get his signing over the line.

He is a dynamic attacker in every sense of the world, able to get in behind and use his strength to work one-on-one chances, whilst also dropping deeper to link play and having the passing range to find runners in behind.

He does seem to have all the best aspects of Diogo Jota and Darwin Nunez’s games combined.

Richard Hughes and Michael Edwards - don’t overthink this one. Get him signed up. His current form is BEGGING for top teams to come in.
