Liverpool now gearing up for a MAJOR exit
Fabrizio Romano has made it very clear that Liverpool intend to replace one of their first-team stars this summer.
What a big summer this is for Liverpool. The Reds have plans to change quite a lot despite finding themselves as champions-elect.

We see it as a proper statement to the rest of the Premier League. Liverpool may be running away with the title but they're far from happy with this squad.
They've got big plans - and it could see several lose their place. In attack, for instance, Anfield Watch understands a major overhaul is planned in attack.
Liverpool want to give Arne Slot a forward line built for him, rather than Jurgen Klopp. That on its own could make a world of difference, honestly.
But things won't stop there. Mo Salah, Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold are all out of contract in the summer, for one. They're yet to agree new deals (or come particularly close, it seems) and could depart for free if they wish.

Liverpool, then, need to think about incomings and Fabrizio Romano claims they're doing exactly that.
Liverpool's new centre-back
Romano tells GiveMeSport that Liverpool are definitely in the market for a new centre-back. He doesn't name any names, however.
The journalist has consistently pushed this over the last few weeks. His information is that a new centre-back will arrive (or is planned to) alongside a new left-back.
Still, we're no closer to knowing who that could be.
But it does tell us that someone is off as the squad does not need five centre-backs. Van Dijk is an easy one to understand, given his contract situation, but he's not the only one with an uncertain future.

Ibrahima Konate enters the final year of his own deal this summer. Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid are both very interested there.
Anfield Watch broke the news of PSG's interest in Konate. We fully expect them to ramp up their efforts once the season is done.
Joe Gomez, too, is an interesting one. Liverpool nearly sold him to Newcastle United last year, only for things to collapse right at the death.
His lack of football this term - both through injuries and not being selected - lines him up for a potential exit again. The new centre-back could well be to replace him.
But the thing is, Liverpool could end up needing more than one. They don't control the futures of Van Dijk and Konate, while Gomez's injuries make him an unreliable first-choice option.
If Romano is right, it feels absolutely certain that someone is leaving. But one could quickly become two.
