Liverpool player ratings: Liverpool 3-0 Manchester United

Liverpool came away 3-0 winners when they faced Manchester United at Old Trafford. Another clean sheet for the Reds and another dominant attacking performance.

Here are our player ratings:

Alisson - 9/10

Alisson proved his worth to Liverpool once again, making a quick reaction save to preserve Liverpool's 1-0 lead in the 40th minute when Mazraoui's shot found its was between Van Dijk's legs and towards the Liverpool goal. He was called upon again early in the second half and stepped up once again. Just after the 60 minute mark Alisson denied Joshua Zirkzee from only a few yards out with another great reaction stop.

Trent Alexander-Arnold - 7/10

Trent was denied an iconic early goal against Manchester United, but his celebration would have been even more iconic. The vice-captains early strike was ruled out for an offside in the build-up and that means his Gerrard-esque celebration was wasted. Trent enjoyed a solid game, making some important challenges to deny Man United a serious attack. An all round solid performance from the Scouser in Liverpool's team.

Ibrahima Konate - 7/10

Konate was solid and much like the rest of Liverpool's defence he didn't have much to do all game. He looked solid and didn't make any mistakes. Slot will want more of the same from the Frenchman.

Virgil van Dijk - 7/10

Despite making history, Van Dijk enjoyed a quiet game, with arguably his best moment coming when he wound up Manchester United's 'keeper Onana before a corner. He was solid throughout and dealt well with the little threat that Man United put up.

Andrew Robertson - 6/10

Summed up perfectly by Sky Sports' Peter Drury as Robertson came off, "perfectly satisfactory". On his 300th appearance for Liverpool the Scottish captain put in a very average performance, offering little going forward but looking solid defensively. He did everything he needed to do but wasn't a stand out performer.

Ryan Gravenberch - 8/10

Gravenberch showed what he does best in the build up to the opening goal, winning the ball via an interception and then driving the play forward before playing the simple pass to Salah who crossed it in for Diaz's header. Gravenberch kept the pace all game and looked strong, he is a big part of why Liverpool were able to dominate. He cut a calm and composed figure all match and is starting to look a natural in Arne Slot's midfield.

Dominik Szoboszlai - 7/10

Despite a quiet first half Szoboszlai started the second half strong, assisting Mo Salah for Liverpool's third goal of the afternoon. This means that Szobozlai has already equalled his tally of league assists from his debut season with the Reds with 35 games to spare. Apart from his assist he didn't offer too much attacking threat but he did everything he needed to do today.

Alexis Mac Allister - 7/10

A quiet game for the Argentine who did his job well but did little of note. He played his part in Liverpool's dominance and helped support Ryan Gravenberch. Overall a solid performance but nothing spectacular.

Mohamed Salah - 10/10

Mo Salah continued his impressive start to the season with two assists for Luis Diaz and a goal of his own only 10 minutes into the second half. Composed as always at Old Trafford, Salah slotted the ball past Onana to give Liverpool a 3-0 lead. Salah still looks to be in red hot form this season and is showing that at 32 he is still one of the best players in the league.

Diogo Jota - 6/10

Jota didn't have his best game but also didn't make any major mistakes. The Portugal star was pretty anonymous for large parts of the game and will need to be more involved in future matches.

Luis Diaz - 9/10

Diaz opened the scoring for Liverpool with an impressive header, showing his great communication skills by telling Szoboszlai to duck just before he headed it home. Just before the break Lucho claimed his second goal with a brilliant finish from 12 yards out, beating Onana with ease. Diaz came off just after the 60th minute but already looks incredibly comfortable in Slot's Liverpool team.

Substitutes:

Cody Gakpo (66' for Diaz) - 7/10

Gakpo almost scored with his very first touch and didn't offer a lot after that. It was a solid performance but he was coming into a side that wanted to control the game, not ruthlessly go for goal. He did his job well and didn't put a foot wrong.

Darwin Nunez (76' for Jota) - N/A

Nunez looked okay when he came on, he probably didn't play enough to properly settle in to the match and was coming into a game that was already won.

Conor Bradley (76' for Alexander-Arnold) - 7/10

Almost immediately after coming on Bradley came so close to providing his first assist of the season but Szoboszlai couldn't get the ball out from under his feet and get a shot off. You have to feel bad for Bradley who couldn't have done any better. Overall a solid performance from a young player who looks like he definitely has a future at Slot's Liverpool.

Kostas Tsimikas (83' for Robertson) - N/A

Tsimikas didn't play for long enough to give him a fair rating, he had little to do when he came on but put in a solid performance.

Arne Slot - 8/10

Slot didn't have a lot to do with his substitutions in this game but he controlled the game well tactically and didn't let Manchester United back in to the game at any point. Overall it was an impressive first outing to Old Trafford for Liverpool's new boss who carries on his perfect start to the Premier League campaign.

Honourable mention: Casemiro - 12/10

The Brazilian midfielder was by far the worst performer on the pitch in the first half and was hooked at the break. He was responsible for both of Liverpool's opening two goals and made the game easy for Arne Slot's Reds.
