Liverpool stars discover their new EA Sports FC 25 player ratings

Liverpool players have been reacting to their official ratings for EA Sports FC 25, ahead of the game's release in a few weeks.

Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk, and Alisson Becker lead the Anfield rankings this year, with each of them boasting an impressive score of 89. Jarell Quansah has seen the most significant improvement within the squad, rising from a 62 rating to 75.

In this year's game, player ratings will play a key role in the new 5v5 Rush experience, which is integrated across all core game modes. This encourages experimentation with different squad combinations, leveraging individual player strengths to create dynamic small-squad tactics.

Player ratings will also contribute to more authentic team strategies, powered by FC IQ, an advanced AI model that draws on real-world data to shape player behaviour.

Players react to ratings

Ryan Gravenberch, Dominik Szoboszlai, Wataru Endo and Diogo Jota join football content creator RamboFYI to unveil this year's squad ratings.

The video now showing on Liverpool's official website channels humour, pride, and of course, competitive spirit. Some players took the opportunity to joke about specific stats—whether it be pace, dribbling, or defending.

Szoboszlai selected Conor Bradley as the most improved player in the squad, and it's true the promising young full-back has made significant strides in his development, particularly in his defensive positioning, work rate, and attacking contributions from the right flank.

However, in the EA Sports game, Quansah's rating is the one that has been boosted the most since its last edition.

Endo declared, in his view, the strongest players at Liverpool are Van Dijk and Ibrahima Konaté. However, while the club captain does indeed top that category in FC 25, he shares pole position with a different team-mate - striker Darwin Nunez. Both have a mighty physicality rating of 86.

Gravenberch faced a fun dilemma: choosing who is faster between Jota and Szoboszlai. While both players are renowned for their pace, the Dutchman leaned towards Szoboszlai - in fact both men have a speed rating of 82 in the eagerly awaited new game.
