Liverpool MATCH Real Madrid in deal to make millions
For the last five years, Liverpool have brandished the iconic Nike tick on their sportswear.
However, rumours have been circulating over the last few months that the club is set to reunite with Adidas for the 2025/26 season onwards.

The reports are unconfirmed, but the subsequent leaked kits from the expected partnership have allowed Liverpool fans to get very excited about the return of the classic three stripes to the team's kits.
Across two separate spells, spanning 17 seasons, Adidas has produced a number of iconic shirts that extremely successful teams have worn and the sports brand's return to Merseyside could make a huge financial difference to the club.
Previous reports suggested that Liverpool would receive more than they do from the current Nike deal - £30m per year and a 20% royalty on all net merchandise sales apart from footwear - however, new details have now been reported.
Liverpool's 'elite' Adidas status
Sponsoring a number of teams around the world, Adidas has to prioritise which clubs have which type of sponsorship deal in place.
According to Footy Headlines, Liverpool are said to be part of the 'elite' tier, which enables the club to receive a number of benefits.
Their classification sits them alongside Real Madrid, Manchester United, Arsenal, Bayern Munich and Juventus, each of which is stated to receive authentic kits that are available in all Adidas stores across the world, alongside a number of lifestyle collections that will be marketed globally.
The details as such are somewhat hazy at this time, given the sponsorship agreement is yet to be publically announced by the club or the brand, however, it seems clear that Liverpool will benefit more from being an 'elite' club as supposed to any of the other 'local elite club' or 'big club' classifications.
The range of kits Liverpool are likely to receive will be available in a number of different styles and fabrics, enabling fans to buy kits that are of the highest standard, although the price for such kits is also a mystery as of yet.
However, in addition to the flat rate that the club will receive from Adidas for being one of their ambassador clubs, a greater range of merchandise may well ensure that the club is financially better off for being an 'elite' club, as Liverpool will receive a significant royalty should the number of net sales prove to be high.
While Nike has produced plenty of shirts that have proved to be popular with the fanbase, it is likely that Adidas will attract a greater wave of consumer interest in the club, and that can only be a positive thing.
Until the agreement is finalised, we will not know what the full details are, but on the basis of current reports, it seems as though Liverpool will be paid well in accordance with their standing in the global game.
