Keita last made an appearance for the German side back in March, falling out of favour with the club and only making the bench once in that entire time.

An injury kept him out for a large part of this season but Bremen wouldn't have been playing him regardless.

Keita was hyped up tremendously when he joined Liverpool back in 2018 - the deal even being struck an entire year before - and for good reason. His performances at RB Leipzig were tremendous and the move was well earnt.

And he played well enough for Liverpool, despite not reaching the heights that were hoped for when the £52m deal was first struck.

Keita left Liverpool on a free transfer at the end of the 2023 season, with Bremen labelling signing him a 'no brainer'.

Yet the downfall of Keita's career continued despite a move back to the Bundesliga that he had previously spent year ripping up.

Ferencvaros are Hungary's premier club, winning the top flight of Hungarian football a record 35 times - including the past six in a row.

At time of writing they find themselves second in the league to Puskás Akadémia.

Keita will have to hope that he can once again find the form he was displaying back at Leipzig to push The Greens to seven in a row.
